The UK’s leading provider for online restaurant reservations teams up with the UK’s most popular online hotel, travel and leisure specialist to provide diners with access to real-time reservations and exclusive offers at thousands of top UK restaurants

toptable, the leading consumer destination site for restaurant reservations in the UK, together with its parent company, OpenTable, Inc., today announced that toptable has been named the exclusive reservation provider for lastminute.com, the UK’s most popular online hotel, travel and leisure specialist.

From the start of October customers to the lastminute.com site will enjoy a wide range of dining options from thousands of restaurants throughout the UK. On top of this they will still benefit from restaurant offers that are exclusive to lastminute.com customers.

“By partnering with lastminute.com, we’re providing our restaurant customers with additional exposure to travel and leisure consumers looking to book reservations,” said Mike Xenakis, Managing Director of OpenTable Europe. “lastminute.com is a great complement to our existing partner network, and we’re excited to work with them to deliver value to both restaurants and diners.”

Tim Bishop, lastminute.com Lifestyle Director said “The restaurant category is a key product line for lastminute.com and embodies our ethos of offering great experiences and great value at the last minute. The breadth of restaurants served by toptable, combined with their best-in-class booking platform, made it a natural partner for our site.”

In the UK, more than 3,500 restaurants are bookable in real-time via toptable.  London represents the largest concentration of OpenTable restaurant customers in the world, and toptable is the online reservation provider for 80 percent of the city’s Michelin starred restaurants.  Cumulatively, toptable and OpenTable have seated more than 20 million diners in the UK.
