OpenTable integration arrives on Instagram: Diners can now book a table direct from a restaurant profile

London, 21 February 2019: OpenTable has today announced its integration with Instagram’s actions product in all international markets including the UK, Germany, Australia, Spain and the Netherlands.

Restaurants on the OpenTable network will be able to include a ‘reserve’ link on their Instagram profile page, enabling diners to click and make a reservation direct from the platform.

People go to Instagram to visually discover products and services, with more than 200 million visiting a business profile each day. Following this visual discovery, people on Instagram are often inspired to take an action and the OpenTable integration will now ensure that making a reservation for a restaurant experience discovered on Instagram is seamless.

“We’re excited that this integration allows our restaurant partners to tap into Instagram’s vibrant community and connect with the diners who are most likely to be their future guests,” says Adrian Valeriano, VP, EMEA for OpenTable.

“The integration also enhances the experience for diners, who are looking to Instagram to find inspiration for their next great dining experience. Once they see something that catches their eye, they can quickly and easily secure that reservation. We look forward to driving even more value for our restaurant partners and diners with this integration.”
